Meet Dr. Joe Schwerdtfeger (Overland Park, KS)
Dr. Joe to our patients, is a life long native of Johnson County. Dr Joe opened his practice at Overland Park Eye Center in 1994 after many years of practicing in Kansas City, MO. He attended the University of Kansas for undergraduate work. In 1986 he graduated with a degree in Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. He also maintains several certificates in lasik consultation, contact fitting, dry eye syndrome and other medical eye care. He is a current member of both the Kansas Optometric Association (KOA) and the American Optometric Association (AOA).
To keep current on all of the newest technology and research available Dr. Joe participates in continuing education classes all over the country each year. He applies these new techniques and treatments to his practice everyday to ensure his patients are getting high quality care.
In his free time Dr. Joe enjoys spending time with his family and three children; Tyler, Scott, and Meghan. He is also an avid sports fan and enjoys catching games with friends. In addition Dr. Joe enjoys traveling and skiing with his family and friends.
