Dr. Pierce was born and raised in Hoisington, a small town in central Kansas. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Emporia State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in biology. She then attended the Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in Memphis, TN. While at SCO, Dr. Pierce completed numerous internships, gaining valuable clinical experience in primary care optometry, contact lens, and ocular disease. She graduated from SCO in 2008 with highest honors and was valedictorian of her class.

Dr. Pierce is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. While at SCO, she was included in Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. In 2008, she was the recipient of the SCO Oustanding Clinician Award and the VSP Award of Excellence.

Dr. Pierce recently got married in June 2008 to her husband Dustin. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, and she also enjoys watching and attending sporting events. Dr. Pierce is excited to start a home and begin her optometry career in the Kansas City area.
